Since 1991, The Academy's mission has been to provide high-quality music instruction to Hampton Roads residents who seek it, regardless of their ability to pay. To that end, The Academy is committed to ensuring access to music education through the provision of need-based scholarships and numerous community outreach programs. The results of these efforts are measured in many ways, including better grades in all subjects for those who are taking examinations.
